Today’s 2nd blog post will be my 19th mindfulness tip. My personal updated definition on it : it’s just the thing and you existing in the world, you are alone with it and you‘re being made self-aware by it, minus your negativity.
Today’s tip : mindful listening. You can put on any soundtrack you fancy to filter out your negative thoughts and feelings from your mind. I myself like listening to an audio-book, a movie or TV show that I’ve already watched so that I can focus on its sound and not my thoughts and feeling. As I have a quite auditive memory and intelligence, thence why it’s the sense that’s working best with me. At night if I can’t fall asleep, I put on a narrative voice to soothe me down and go to sleep that way. That’s how it’s keeping your mind from ruminating. Least for me it does anyway.
